Simple Daily Steps

We all wake up to each new day with a different mood, and a new outlook. Some days we feel great and ready to go, other days we feel down, and other times we are more on the indifferent side. There are however, a few simple things you can try to do each day that will surprisingly make you feel a bit better and help make your mood a bit brighter. Try em out and see!
Make sure your bed is made.
Actually making your bed can set the tone for the rest of the day. If your bed is made, not only does it look nice and tidy, but it projects a clean, organized way to start off. If you notice, on the days your bed isn’t made, you may walk past it and feel ugh, and it makes the whole room look messy too. When you walk past it and it is made, you can get a nice feeling of ahh, this room looks good and I feel pretty good too!
Moisturize that skin.
Well hydrated skin ages much better. You will feel more rejuvenated and decrease the appearance of wrinkles. Apply some moisturizer when you wake up and before you go to sleep to keep that skin glowing!
Give someone a compliment.
It will make someone else feel great and it will make you feel great. Go ahead and spread those smiles!
Take a real lunch break.
You need that break – if you are at work, and you can manage it do not eat at your desk. Get up and get out for a nice lunch. If you are at home, try not to eat on the couch or while on your laptop, sit at the table enjoy and savor the lunch. It is a really nice break in the middle of the day.
Drink that water.
Dehydration can sneak up on you, and it can make you feel sluggish, tired and it can make you irritable too. It is good for your body and mind – and your skin to stay hydrated. Put a large bottle in front of you each day and make sure you finish it!
Pick your outfit for the next day.
You will save a lot of time in the morning if you know what you are going to wear and it is all ready to go. This may even give you a bit more time to snooze!
Set aside the smartphone.
Try to have a time of the day, whether it is breakfast, dinner or any other time where no phones are allowed. You will be more present and you can engage in some real conversations without any distractions!
Don’t be a hermit.
There may not be time to go out and have fun every single day – but do it as often as you can. If you can’t get out, then reach out and at least have a chat with a friend. If you are too secluded you can start to feel down. Getting some friend time in is great for your wellbeing!
